Third Edition · Graduate Texts in Mathematics
The conference is held in honor of Loukas Grafakos on the occasion of his 65th birthday.

Loukas Grafakos is a Greek mathematician born in Athens in 1962. He studied at the University of Athens and at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he received his Ph.D. in 1989 under the supervision of Michael Christ.
He is a Curators Distinguished Professor and the Mahala and Rose Houchins Distinguished Professor at the University of Missouri. His research is in harmonic analysis, including Fourier analysis, singular integrals, Calderón–Zygmund theory, and multilinear harmonic analysis. His work has contributed to the development of multilinear methods in harmonic analysis, and his publication list currently contains 157 numbered research articles, including submitted and forthcoming work.
Grafakos has supervised 12 completed doctoral students, with Ph.D. years from 1999 through 2024, as well as eight master's students. His textbooks are widely used in graduate courses and as references in the subject.
His books are Classical Fourier Analysis (Third Edition, Graduate Texts in Mathematics 249, Springer, 2014); Modern Fourier Analysis (Third Edition, Graduate Texts in Mathematics 250, Springer, 2014); Complex Analysis with Applications, with Nakhlé H. Asmar (Undergraduate Texts in Mathematics, Springer, 2018); and Fundamentals of Fourier Analysis (Graduate Texts in Mathematics 302, Springer, 2024).
The conference dinner will include a celebration of his 65th birthday.
